PRAHAAR SAI AB HOGA VAAR!!!!!!

The DRDO has just issued this press-release on the Prahaar missile launch: DRDO successfully flight tested its latest surface to surface missile Prahaar at 08.20 A.M on 21st July 2011 from Launch Complex III, off Chandipur Coast, ITR, Balasore, Orissa. The missile with a range of 150 km, comparable to ATACMS Missile of United States of America, fills the vital gap between Multi Barrel Rockets and Medium range Ballistic Missiles. The missile capable of carrying different types of warheads, operates as battle field support system to the Indian Army.

The missile with a length of 7.3 meters and diameter of 420 mm weighing 1280 kgs, and a single stage solid propulsion system goes to a height of 35 kms before reaching the targets of the range of 150 kms in about 250 seconds. The missile equipped with state-of-the-art high accuracy navigation, guidance and electro mechanical actuation systems with latest onboard computer achieved terminal accuracy of less than 10 meters.
The missile with a pay load of 200 kg has a fast reaction time, which is essential for the battle field tactical missile. The missile is launched from a Road Mobile System, which can carry six missiles at a time and can be fired in salvo mode in all directions covering the entire azimuth plane.
The missile system is developed to provide Indian Army a cost effective, quick reaction, all weather, all terrain, high accurate battle field support tactical system. The development of missile is carried out by the DRDO scientists in a short span of less than two years.
The flight path of the Missile was tracked and monitored by the various radar systems and electro optical systems located along the coast of Orissa. An Indian naval ship located near target point in Bay of Bengal witnessed the final event. The missile was developed by the DRDO Scientists with support from Indian Industry and Quality assurance agency MSQAA.
The launch operations were witnessed by Dr. V.K. Saraswat, Scientific Adviser to Raksha Mantri and Secretary Defence R & D, Lt Gen Vinod Nayanar, AVSM, Director General of Artillery, IHQ of MoD (Army). The operations were over seen by Avinash Chander, Chief Controller R&D, V.L.N. Rao, Programme Director AD, S.K. Ray, Director RCI, and S.P. Dash, Director ITR.

teri ankhein....

Teri ankhon si ankhain
Aaj ek chehray pe dekhi hain
Wohi rangat, banawat
Aur wesi be-rukhi un main
Bichartai waqt jo mene
Teri ankhon main dekhatha
Teri ankhon si ankhon ne
Mujay ek pal ko dekha tha
Wo pal ek aam sa pal tha
Puranay kitnay mousam,
kitnay manzar mene dekhai thai
Meri jaan main ye samjha tha
Teri ankhon si ankhain jab
Meri ankhon ko dekhain gi
To aik lamhay ko sochain gi
Ke in ankhon ko pehlay bhi
Kisi chehray pe dekha hai
Magar in jheel ankhon main
Shanasaayi naahi jagi
Meri ankhain !!
Teri ankhon si ankhon kai liye
Kab Khaas ankhain thin
Teri ankhon ne shayed ye
Kayi chehron pe dekhi hoon
Ki ye to aam aankhain hain
Main aisa soch sakta tha
Magar main kya karoun dil ka
Jo ab yeh yaad rakhay ga
ki Teri ankhon si ankhain
Main ne ek chehray pe dekhi thin !!
Phir us kai baad kitnay din
Meri ankhon main sawan tha..

Your eyes

If questioning would make us wise
No eyes would ever gaze in eyes;
If all our tale were told in speech
No mouths would wander each to each.

Were spirits free from mortal mesh
And love not bound in hearts of flesh
No aching heart would yearn to meet
And find their ecstasy complete.

For who is there that lives and knows
The secret powers by which you grows?
Were knowledge all, what were our need
To thrill and faint and sweetly bleed?.

Then seek not, sweet, the "If" and "Why"
I love you now until I die.
For I must love because I live
And life in me is what you give.

SIMI----IM: again

in chehro mai sai jaruur koi jallaad hoga.......
Like after every blast, this time too the police are not sparing former members of the banned outfit Simi ( Students Islamic Movement of India). Some are ruing the day they decided to join the organization.

Take Kamal Khan, for example. The 46-year-old production engineer said: "Whenever there is a terror strike anywhere in the country, the police knock at our door."

Khan, a father of four, was called for questioning by the crime branch after Wednesday's blasts. His troubles began in 2002, when he was arrested for allegedly being a Simi member. "I spent 51 days in jail before being granted bail. My passport was taken and deposited in court. Even after nine years, the trial is not over. Witness examination has just begun," he said.

Khan, who imports cosmetics and electronics, said the police abuse him each time he is called. "Constables use dirty language in front of my family members. When I protest, they say they are under pressure to detect any (terror) case and ill-treat us under their bosses' pressure.

"After the first Ghatkopar blast, I was ordered by the crime branch to be at the unit by 9 am. But I would be allowed to leave only at 8 or 9 pm. This exercise went on for 40 days. I am used to it, but want an end to my troubles."

A few months ago, his godown was reduced to ashes, as a result of which he suffered losses worth Rs 70 lakh. "I was merely a friend of a few SIMI members," he said. "After the group was banned, a crackdown began and the police started arresting anyone who was close to or a friend of a SIMI member. I, too, was picked up. My business was ruined and several people in my profession avoided me for sometime. I am out on bail, attending court hearings, but the damage has been done."

The police also called Khan's business partner. "They ordered him to remove his belt, wrist watch and wallet," Khan said. "Then a policeman told him: 'You are not cooperating and will be arrested.' But he was allowed to leave afterwards."

Indian intelligence agencies had detected no threat of any impending attacks on Mumbai before three blasts shook the city on Wednesday.Home Minister P Chidambaram said those who carried it out had "worked in a very clandestine manner".
The three near-simultaneous explosions, during Mumbai's evening rush hour, killed 18 people and injured dozens.
The attacks are the deadliest in India since 2008, when gunmen killed 165 people in a three-day raid in Mumbai.
Indian cities have been placed on high alert and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has urged the people of Mumbai "to remain calm and show a united face".
Visiting some of the attack victims in Mumbai hospitals, the prime minister vowed those responsible would be tracked down.
The authorities are not saying who they think could be behind the bomb attacks in Mumbai. Home Minister P Chidambaram says all groups hostile to India are being looked at.
This obviously includes home-grown militant outfits like the Indian Mujahideen (IM), who have been blamed for a number of blasts in the past. Many security analysts already believe the explosions - possibly caused by improvised bombs - carry the fingerprints of such a group.
The latest attack also raises questions about whether intelligence has again failed Mumbai, a charge Mr Chidambaram denies. He says security measures in the city have been beefed up since the 2008 attacks and local police have foiled a "number of terrorist threats" since then.
But the fact that Mumbai seems to be targeted relentlessly by groups is extremely disquieting news for its residents and authorities alike.
Pakistan-based militants were blamed for the November 2008 attacks and peace efforts between the two countries were derailed. Pakistan's government was quick to condemn the latest bombings.
The United Nations also condemned the attack, describing it as "heinous".
No group has said it planted the bombs but suspicion among some officials and analysts has fallen on the Indian Mujahideen, a group which has claimed to have carried out similar attacks in the past.
"There was no intelligence regarding a militant attack in Mumbai. That is not a failure of intelligence agencies," said Mr Chidambaram.
"[We] know that perpetrators have attacked and have worked in a very, very clandestine manner, maybe a very small group that has not communicated with each other."
But he said it was too early to speculate on who might have been behind the attack.

All groups that have capacity to carry out such terror attacks are suspect. All angles will be investigated, all leads will be followed," he told reporters.
He described the blasts as a "a co-ordinated attack by terrorists" as they occurred within minutes of one another.
All three bombs were reported within a 15-minute period, starting at around 1850 local time (1320 GMT).
Mumbai attacksApril 1993 - Serial bomb blasts kill 257 people and about 700 injured 2003 - Four bomb attacks, including twin blasts on 25 August which killed 52 people July 2006 - More than 180 people killed and hundreds wounded in seven orchestrated blasts on commuter trains November 2008 - gunmen target six locations in Mumbai killing at least 165 people in a series of co-ordinated attacks The biggest explosion occurred at the Opera House business district in the south of the city, in an area known as a hub for diamond traders. One witness said he had tried to help by getting the wounded onto motorbikes to take them to hospital.
"We came outside, and the area was filled with black smoke. There were bodies lying all over the street, there was lots of blood... We saw many bodies missing arms and missing legs," Aagam Doshi told Reuters news agency.
Another blast, described by the authorities as low intensity, hit the Zaveri Bazaar, an area with many jewellery shops, also in the city's south.
The third hit the Dadar district in the city centre, known for its gold market.
Mr Chidambaram said none of the bombs had been triggered remotely. Police said they were made with ammonium nitrate, an ingredient for fertiliser.

 padyatra-flop shop
kissan mahapanchayat- congress mahapanchayat

Describing the padayatra as an unforgettable experience that has enlightened him of the farmers’ problems, the Gandhi scion told farmers of the BSP-ruled state, "I have learnt a lot after talking to you. I am young and from you I have gained a world of knowledge on land acquisition issues...I can never forget all this all my lifetime and the fact that I am taking back so much from you."

"You have the same knowledge as those sitting in the Planning Commission and those making the laws...What I have acquired from you here, I could never have acquired sitting in Delhi," he said.

The foot march, flagged off from Bhatta on Tuesday, saw the Congress leader spanning over 70 km in hot and sultry weather conditions.

"The yatra was a mass awakening call for the farmers...I have already achieved what I set out to achieve. I am more than pleased. I wanted to bring this matter on the national radar and help farmers voice their concerns. I have done that," Gandhi said.

Moreover its an rahul padyatra but never forget more then rahul its an journalist padyatar.sukr hai charpaai to mili....thanx gaon walo!

Reporter: Kuch bhi chutna nahi chaiye.kisi aur par kuch chal gay to hum gaye! Cameraman: Toilet tak kai visual hai. Chinta mat kar.Sirf raat ka jugaad kar!

"The yatra was a mass awakening call for the farmers...I have already achieved what I set out to achieve. I am more than pleased. I wanted to bring this matter on the national radar and help farmers voice their concerns. I have done that," Gandhi said.

While interacting with Gandhi during the foot march, the farmers demanded adequate compensation for their land, jobs in lieu of acquired lands, enhanced compensation for fertile land and compensation in lieu of tube wells that get acquired along with swathes of land.

The AICC general secretary will visit Aligarh on Saturday to address a farmer mahapanchayat.

Gandhi said the UP government should enact a land acquisition law on the lines of Haryana.

"UP government should enact land acquisition law on the lines of Haryana land acquisition law which is more farmer-friendly," he addressed a gathering of villagers at Bajna Inter college ground.

"The UPA will soon modify the existing land acquisition law and make it more farmer-oriented," Gandhi

Rahul gandhi on road!

rahul road show may be dent to the maya govt in u.p.

ye road development ki to hai lekin isi par siyasat kheli ja rahi hai......matlab muawjaa!!!!!

Rahul Gandhi resumed his march on Wednesday to make common cause with farmers in Uttar Pradesh over land acquisition, after an overnight halt at the Rampur Bangar village where he slept in the open.   The 41-year-old Congress general secretary is on the second day of his padayatra -- 'Kisan Sandesh Yatra' -- in western Uttar Pradesh, a footmarch billed as a campaign against Chief Minister Mayawati  ahead of the Congress's proposed 'kisan mahapanchayat' in the neighbouring Aligarh district on July 9.
After trudging around 25 km on foot in the dusty tracks of rural areas on Tuesday covering five villages, Rahul took a halt at Rampur Bangar village in Gautam Budh Nagar district for the night where he stayed at the house of former village head Kalicharan Sharma. He also had dinner with the Sharma family and preferred to sleep on a cot on the terrace.
The Congress leader resumed his yatra at 6.20 am and visited Sabautajafrabad and Alawalpur villages.
p.r team ka good work.its seems to be like rahul p.r team is strong.
"At both the places he held chaupal with the villagers and enquired about their problems and issues," Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee spokesman Akhilesh Pratap Singh said.
Throwing a fresh challenge at Mayawati, Rahul on Tuesday reached Bhatta-Parsaul for the second time to kickstart his foot march nearly two months after his visit to the twin villages, the epicentre of farmers' protests that had led to his midnight arrest.
Addressing a chaupal (informal assembly) in one of the villages, Rahul said the magnitude in which land was being acquired in UP was not happening anywhere else in the country.
"It's ok if the land is being acquired for road. Roads should be constructed and development must take place, but here land is being taken for colony," he said.
He said that farmers, whose land was being acquired, come to know when the process is already over.
"This is not being said by one person, but thousands. People were killed in Bhatta Parsaul, but it was said that nothing happened. People were killed in Tappal. Your voice must be heard against the wrong doing," he said.
He said the Centre was bringing a bill on the land acquisition and it would be done properly.

excercise vijay bhav

To practice its war-fighting concepts and doctrines, the Indian Army will hold a massive war-game codenamed 'Vijaya Bhava' along the Pakistan border in first week of May. "The Division-level (around 15,000 troops) exercise would be held in the deserts of Western Rajasthan where the elements of the elite 2 Strike Corps and other formations will take part," Army sources said.

Sources said the exercise would be held "well inside" the border where all fighting arms of the Indian Army including the artillery, armored columns including tanks and mechanized vehicles will take part.

As part of war-fighting arrangements, the Indian Army has put its three Strike Corps, which are supposed to strike and enter enemy territories in case of war, under three different commands.

The Army will evolve and practice battlefield tactics for different warfare scenarios for a conventional conflict with the adversaries. Defence Minister A K Antony will also visit the area of exercise in Rajasthan.

In the aftermath of Operation Parakram in 2001, the Indian Army has evolved a doctrine which calls for a rapid and quite mobilization of troops to the fronts from hinterland and continuous efforts have been made to cut the time taken for movement of formations.
